I'll be back..
So I think I should start blogging again. There have been some interesting recent developments that I should write about. Maybe the blog, like an online diary, is a good place to record these. If no one else reads them that's okay. I would like it for myself.
Just finished up the PEESS/GLOBE workshop last week June 23-27. Next post I'll write about that. Interesting conjunction of Education and Science there. Currently am writing a proposal to submit to NASA ROSES announcement - due on July 15. I am happy with a pyramid I came up with that mirrors NASA's educational framework. Here it is below:

GSIC group Valladolid

Here is the research group, GSIC - comprised of communications engineers, scientists and educators - at the University of Valladolid, Spain. In March 2007 I visited this group for a short research collaboration. Our common interests in networked devices and student learning coalesced around the Group Scribbles project http://groupscribbles.sri.com/.
What does it mean?
BEST = Bringing Education & Science Together
This name was associated with the Center of Excellence in Science Education that I founded and led at Norfolk State University from 1996-2005. Since I moved to Christopher Newport University in Fall 2005, I have been continuing to work on the same types of issues - but am affiliated with CNU's Institute for Science Education (CISE).
